Brittany Point, Esquire

Civil Litigation and Family Law Attorney

Brittany’s practice includes civil matters, family court litigation, contractual disputes and matters related to veterans’ benefits. She is devoted to representing her clients in the State and Federal systems as well as administrative venues. Prior to joining the Theos Law Firm, Brittany served as the Assistant Director of Academic Success at the Charleston School of Law and managed Point Consulting, LLC.

Brittany grew up in Ohio. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Law and Social Thought from the University of Toledo. As an undergraduate, Brittany worked as a summer intern for a state-wide civil defense law firm. She also participated in the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program at the Toledo Correctional Institute which allowed university students and incarcerated students to study together in one classroom and collaborate on crime, justice, and other areas of social concern. After relocating to Charleston in 2011, Brittany continued her career in the law and worked as a paralegal in a well-respected law firm. In 2018, Brittany graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law. During her studies at the Charleston School of Law, she received the CALI Award in Civil Procedure and Legal Research, Analysis and Writing and she served as the Treasurer of the Student Bar Association and as the Vice President of the Children’s Advocacy and Family Law Society. Brittany is admitted to practice in South Carolina, as well as the United States District Court, District of South Carolina and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. She is a member of good standing with the South Carolina Bar Association and the Charleston County Bar Association.

Brittany’s unique background helped her to gain over a decade of diverse and distinguished legal experience encompassing various areas of the law. She has been afforded the opportunity to learn and understand the evolution of cases from beginning to end. Brittany is a zealous advocate and is dedicated to protecting the rights and interests of her clients.

Brittany Point, Esquire

Mr. Theos is a native Charlestonian. He is an alumnus of The Citadel and Clemson University, having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Thereafter, he received his J.D. degree in 1982 from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1982 and served as Deputy Public Defender for Charleston County for approximately two years and has been in private practice since 1985. He is admitted to practice in all courts of South Carolina, including South Carolina Supreme Court, South Carolina Court of Appeals, United States District Court, District of South Carolina, and South Carolina Court of Appeals, and is also admitted to the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Theos is engaged in general trial practice throughout the State of South Carolina in the areas of criminal, civil and domestic law. Additionally, he is certified by the South Carolina Supreme Court to serve as lead counsel in death penalty cases and death penalty post-conviction relief cases. He has also served as a guest lecturer at both the Charleston School of Law, the University of South Carolina School of Law, as well as seminars throughout the state.

Mr. Theos is former President of the Charleston County Bar Association and is included and cited in The Best Lawyers in America, Martindale-Hubbell’s Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers ( the highest rating in legal ability and ethical standards), Super Lawyers, and Who’s Who in American Law.
